As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution of construction contracts, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, taking the lead on contractual negotiations, project planning, risk management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all contractual aspects of multiple construction projects
Manage project timelines, budgets, and contractual deliverables
Lead contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors
Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards
Monitor project progress and report on key milestones and risks
Coordinate with site teams, estimators, and procurement to ensure efficient project execution
Resolve disputes and claims in a timely and professional manner
Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
Proven experience (7+ years) as a Contracts Manager or similar senior role in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, and bespoke agreements
Solid understanding of project management and construction processes
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and organisational abilities
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar field
Proficient in MS Office and project management software
