We're now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our expanding team and help drive continued growth across the UK.
The role
As a Contracts Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the delivery of commercial and domestic flooring projects from initial enquiry through to completion. This includes overseeing estimating, client liaison, contract management, and on-site execution -- ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
You will also play a key role in business development, building long-term relationships with clients and supporting the company's regional growth strategy.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage commercial flooring contracts, ensuring all works are completed on schedule, within scope, and to specification.
Conduct detailed site surveys, prepare quotations, and manage tender submissions.
Drive business growth by developing new client relationships and maintaining strong partnerships with existing customers.
Supervise and support site teams and subcontractors to deliver high-quality installations.
Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication throughout each project.
Ensure all works comply with company health & safety standards, environmental policies, and industry regulations.
Provide accurate progress reports and forecasts to senior management where applicable.
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience managing commercial flooring or refurbishment contracts.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under pressure.
Strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation methods, and current industry trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
Proficient in estimating and take-off software, as well as Google applications and general project management, and accounting tools.
Demonstrated commercial awareness with a focus on cost control and profitability.
Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and coordinate on-site teams.
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
