As we continue to grow, we're seeking a
Contract Manager
with strong
estimating and commercial experience
to take ownership of end-to-end contract lifecycle management -- from
pre-construction estimating
to
project close-out
-- while playing a key role in business development and operational strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, including negotiation, administration, compliance monitoring, and close-out.
Draft, review, and manage subcontractor agreements, supplier contracts, and client service contracts.
Ensure all projects meet legal, safety, and compliance standards (including UK fire safety regulations).
Monitor project performance against contract deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
Resolve contract disputes or claims efficiently with internal teams and clients.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ISO, FIRAS, and other quality standards.
Estimating:
Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for passive fire protection projects.
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess scope of works.
Conduct site visits to gather essential project and pricing information.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure clear, competitive proposals.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, consultants, and facilities managers.
Represent the business at industry events, client meetings, and trade shows.
Collaborate with leadership to shape commercial and sales strategies.
What We're Looking For
(Essential Criteria)
:
3+ years' experience
in passive fire protection (estimating, project, or contract management roles).
Proven ability to manage commercial contracts in the construction or fire protection industry.
Strong understanding of
UK fire safety regulations
and
fire stopping systems/materials
(BMTRADA & FIRAS)
Excellent
negotiation
,
communication
, and
organisational
skills.
Proficiency in reading
technical drawings
, specifications, and construction contracts.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong commercial acumen.
Experience with
SIMPRO
, Excel, OneTrace and CRM tools highly desired.
Full UK
driving licence
required.
