Contracts / Project Manager
to join our team on a hybrid/remote basis, overseeing high-profile retail and commercial projects. With offices in London and Yorkshire, occasional travel will be required.
About the Role
As a Contracts Manager, you'll take full ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless delivery while upholding our reputation for excellence. Reporting to the Workstream Manager, you'll lead site managers, direct labour, and subcontractors, collaborating with internal teams including cost management, M&E, procurement, and design. Your focus will be on profitability, regulatory compliance, and delivering outstanding quality.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end project delivery, from scoping works and creating project plans to managing risks and ensuring timely completion.
Collaborate with clients, cost managers, and subcontractors to define project requirements and manage procurement processes.
Develop and maintain project programmes, risk registers, and health & safety documentation.
Coordinate surveys, obtain necessary permits, and ensure compliance with building regulations and BREEAM certification where required.
Manage RFIs, variations, and snagging processes, ensuring all documentation (O&M, completion statements, fire compliance reports) is completed to SLA standards.
Lead client meetings, allocate actions, and report progress and risks to the Workstream Manager.
Drive quality control, self-snagging, and handover processes to achieve client satisfaction.
Support final account preparation and ensure smooth project closeout.
What We're Looking For
Experience
: Minimum 5 years in contracts or project management within fit out, construction, or related industries.
Skills
: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level) and MS Project (basic level). Strong communication and leadership skills.
Flexibility
: Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites or offices in London and Yorkshire.
Attributes
