Job Description

Main purpose



The individual will be responsible for managing domestic solar PV installations assisting the Electrical Services Director in delivering and scaling up the solar PV department, including design and installations.

We are looking for an energetic and professional individual who has experience in managing engineers and subcontractors and liaising with clients.

Relevant experience working within the renewables sector in the domestic/commercial Solar PV, Energy Efficiency, and an operational/management role.

Main Activities:



Provision of technical management and assistance at tender stage to ensure projects are assessed and the design, specification, performance, quality and project timescales are deliverable. Management of the installation team, from preconstruction through to installation. Developing good working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers. Specification and procurement of materials and equipment. Complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and handover documentation for all works where required. Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are up to date and installation teams are regularly briefed through toolbox talks. Maintaining accurate documentation and updating internal systems. Offer engineer/office project support.

Qualifications or Training:



Previous experience implementing domestic Solar PV projects with battery storage. Engineering technical excellence and pride in work/project outcomes. Minimum 3 years' experience managing domestic Solar PV projects and teams, in addition to managing DNO G98 & G99 requirements and applications. Ability to interpret PV designs for all building types. Strong electrical background.

Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong project management skills, ensuring optimal design and costs on all projects. Be analytical and methodical in your approach to problems Be motivated and results driven Be able to act quickly and decisively Have good IT skills. Have excellent organisational skills Full driving licence essential.
