Main Duties
Report directly to the Security Operations Manager.
Be fully conversant and comply with Assignment Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessment and Emergency Procedures in accordance with REM and Mitie Policy and procedures.
Identify where processes or procedures are not working or need to be adjusted to ensure that procedures remain current and operationally sound.
Ensure all staff in the SCR operate in line with the relevant procedures and are regularly tested on those procedures and processes.
Ensure that all officers assigned tasks are monitored and checked for compliance.
Ensure that all keys held within the SCR are correctly signed in and out for audit purposes.
Ensure Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) is accurately maintained during full duration of the shift.
Ensure all personnel that work in SCR are adequately trained on all systems in use.
Operate and monitor all SCR systems.
Report any system issues to the Security Operations Manager.
Oversee all staff booking on and off duty and ensure that they are well presented and are in possession of all relevant equipment and licenses to undertake the role.
Ensure pro-active use of CCTV by the Controllers to monitor public spaces for suspicious activity and behavior.
Undertake investigations on the direction of the Security Operations Manager utilizing CCTV in accordance with VerifyCCTV Policy. Ensure all investigations are documented effectively, to include Quooda reports, evidence handling and client updates.
Responsible for scheduling of all three contracts, ensuring trained staff are allocated into all vacant shifts in advance.
Support the Security Front of House to flex resources as the business need requires to ensure the success of the contract.
Pro-actively manage WP+ to ensure that where vacancies occur for current and upcoming duties that staff are contacted to support the contract as required.
Pro-actively plan ahead to fill all vacant posts on WP+.
Annual leave management for entire team.
Assist SOM with all financial related tasks, i.e creating invoices & requesting PO's.
Complete daily reconcilliations for entire team, ensuring all staff a paid correctly.
Responsible for completing monthly & quarterly presentations, including the gathering and collating of all data for presentation.
Be fully conversant with Everbridge, be main admin for REM account and ensure all users / systems are operating correctly.
Assist SOM in reviewing and updating all Assignment instructions, SOP's, emergency procedures and risk assessments.
Responsible for ensuring all security staff certification, licensing and training is up to date. To include SIA license renewals.
Assist SOM in all recruitment, to include screening CV's, interviewing and the onboarding process.
Be responsible for and to assist the SOM in all HR matters, such as investigations, disciplinaries and misconduct matters.
Ensure the contract is staffed with fully trained personel at all times, to include out of hours. Answering emails & phone calls on evenings and weekend, assisting Mitie control and SOM with covering blow outs.
For new starters to the contract, support the Security Operations Manager to ensure that they are given the correct training and support across all positions to meet the training plan.
Complete random & scheduled spot checks on entire team to ensure that uniform and appearance is of a high standard at all times.
Assist the Security Operations Manager with the administration of Lost & Found Property.
Assist the SOM with creation and implementation of all new training plans, focusing on staff development & growth.
Be familiar with the Fire Control Centre (SCR) activities.
Ensure all staff know and understand the fire evacuation policies.
Ensure the control room manual is kept up to date.
Ensure that the BMS is monitored at all times.
Out of hours support for the team - provide guidance and advise on incidents.
Undertake role of incident commander in all incidents on site, confident leadership required to ensure that all incidents are handled effectively and the team have clear guidance.
Carry out daily verification checks to ensure all control room systems are fully operational and where they are not, initiate corrective action.
Security and Health & Safety
Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

A valid SIA License and previous Control Room Supervisory/Management experience
Essential and proven experience in a customer focused environment
