We are seeking a dedicated Conveyancing Assistant to support our legal team specialising in property transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the smooth progression of conveyancing matters, ensuring all documentation and administrative tasks are handled efficiently and accurately.
Duties
Prepare and organise legal documents related to property transfers, including contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documentation.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, solicitors, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and information exchange.
Conduct property searches and verify title deeds to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Manage case files, ensuring all relevant documentation is up-to-date and properly filed.
Assist with the drafting of correspondence and legal notices as required.
Monitor deadlines for key conveyancing milestones and ensure timely progression of transactions.
Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, maintaining databases, and handling incoming enquiries related to property transactions.
Qualifications
Previous experience in conveyancing or legal administration is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in document handling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive attitude with a keen interest in property law or conveyancing processes.
