Overview:
Step Legal Solicitors are currently seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our reputable law firm based at our Crewe office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our conveyancing team with administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth progression of property transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting conveyancers with all aspects of property transactions from initiation to completion
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, and estate agents to facilitate the conveyancing process
- Managing and organising legal documents and files accurately
- Conducting property searches and preparing relevant reports
- Drafting contracts, completion statements, and other legal documentation
- Handling post-completion matters including Land Registry applications
- Providing excellent customer service and responding to client queries promptly
Skills:
- Solid understanding of conveyancing procedures and property law in the UK
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using case management systems and MS Office applications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks efficiently
- Previous experience working in a conveyancing department is desirable
