Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a highly successful legal team based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. This is a full time, permanent job offering a competitive salary up to 25,000, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, sick pay, and career development within a close knit team. The successful Conveyancing Assistant will support the fee earners with a varied and rewarding workload in a friendly and professional working environment.

Role Responsibilities:

The incoming Conveyancing Assistant will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:


Assisting in the management of caseload by undertaking procedures as directed by the Conveyancer including dealing with file related queries either face to face or by telephone. Supporting Conveyancers in the maintenance of files by effective file management. Ensuring that clients are dealt with efficiently and politely and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer. Attending to clients, taking instructions, and conducting letter and telephone enquiries as necessary Dealing promptly with telephone enquiries as received into the office. Providing quotes both on the phone and by email, including via referrers. Using the correct Practice procedures and systems to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm's standards and legal requirements. Managing own work allocation, productivity, and quality of work with minimum supervision. Contacting Clients, Agents, Referrers, Search providers, and other parties Solicitors to progress active conveyancing transactions. Ensuring the confidentiality of all the firms and clients' documentation and information. Contributing to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. Contributing to maintaining and improving office procedures. Ensuring compliance with the Firm's Equality and Diversity policy.

Person Specification:

The successful Conveyancing Assistant for the position based in our clients Huddersfield office will have the following skills and attributes:


Previous conveyancing support experience Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with case management systems Strong attention to detail Excellent administrative experience Strong IT skills
