Job Summary


We are seeking a diligent and organised Conveyancing Assistant to support our legal team specialising in property transactions. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative assistance throughout the conveyancing process, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of all documentation and communication. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment. The position is an office-based position working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Responsibilities



Assist Fee Earners with the preparation and organisation of conveyancing documentation, including contracts, transfer deeds, and title deeds. Coordinate with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and information exchange. Conduct property searches and organise necessary legal checks to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Manage the filing of documents both electronically and physically, maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Monitor progress of conveyancing files and follow up on outstanding matters to ensure timely completion. Draft correspondence and update clients on the status of their transactions. Support fee invoicing processes and maintain detailed records of all financial transactions related to conveyancing cases. Stay informed about changes in property law and conveyancing procedures to ensure compliance.

Qualifications/Attributes



Prior experience in a legal environment or conveyancing department is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple files efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a busy office setting. A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
