Conveyancing Paralegal - Edinburgh
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Conveyancing Paralegal
to join our busyresidential property team based in Edinburgh
. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in conveyancing and support experienced solicitors throughout the entire property transaction process.Key Responsibilities
Assist solicitors in managing
residential property transactions
, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of title. Prepare and review legal documents such asmissives, dispositions, standard securities, and offers to purchase
. Conductproperty searches and due diligence
, ensuring full compliance withScottish property law and conveyancing practice
. Liaise withclients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
, providing clear communication, updates, and excellent client service. Managepost-completion tasks
, includingregistration of title with Registers of Scotland
and submission ofLand and Buildings Transaction Tax (LBTT)
returns. Maintain accurate and well-organised case files, ensuring compliance withLaw Society of Scotland
andCQS
standards.Skills and Experience
Previous experience in
residential conveyancing
(as a paralegal or legal assistant) is preferred. Strongorganisational and time management skills
, with excellent attention to detail. Confidentwritten and verbal communication
skills. Ability to work effectively in afast-paced team environment
and manage multiple cases simultaneously. A proactive attitude and a strong desire to build a career inScottish conveyancing
