We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal to join our growing team in York. Responsibilities

Assist fee earners in managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion. Draft legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements. Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders. Conduct searches and review reports on title. Prepare and submit SDLT returns and Land Registry applications. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records. Respond to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience in a conveyancing role, ideally within a law firm or legal department. Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication. Proficiency in using case management systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A law degree or legal qualification (such as LPC or CILEx) is desirable but not essential.
