We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and culinary arts, with a keen understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely manner. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices and ensuring all ingredients are stored correctly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe working environment. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers. Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
