Full Time Position for a Chef / Cook

The Wilderness is a popular busy Cafe in Harlech and rated No 1 on Tripadvisor. We have currently also been awarded the Restaurant Guru award for Food for 2023.

We are open all year round and for the right candidate who is willing to put the effort in, is reliable and always on time We are looking for a competent person in the kitchen to join our team .

You do not need to be professionally trained, all training on our procedures will be given , however the right candidate needs to have experience working in a busy kitchen, be well organised, present clean, work tidy and be able to work at a fast pace independently in a kitchen and be used to working to order. You must work at a high food hygiene and quality standard.

We are a small team and all wrk together to make a shift run smoothly. During quieter periods the kitchen staff need to help out with serving customers/ making drinks ect as well as all areas of maintenance and cleaning.

Wage dependant on experience and age.

Normal working hours 9am- 5pm. 6pm in the holidays. We are not open in the evening.

Irregular hours to suit business needs, generally 30-40 hours per week spread over 5 days.

Can be more or less for right candidate. Must be able to work most weekends and all school holidays. This position includes paid holiday, a five day working pattern and a decent work/life balance.
