Are you passionate about fresh, wholesome food and bringing good vibes and great food to a bustling cafe kitchen? We're a friendly, independent coffee shop in the heart of town looking for a part-time cook to join our small, dedicated team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and cooking, the confidence to work independently with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Preparing our seasonal menu of breakfasts, light lunches, and baked goods Prepare menu items from our recipes, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Participate in inventory management when required needed. Support the team in various kitchen tasks, including serving and washing when required. Uphold standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.

Experience

Previous experience in a small kitchen environment. Understanding of food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A positive attitude and passion for seasonal, local ingredients.
