We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus to include a full breakfast service and lunch.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to ensure high standards are met.
Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of meal preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
