We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our cafe's standards, ensuring that all dishes are served promptly and safely. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and cleaned regularly.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: 12.31 per hour
