Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing culinary techniques and best practices. Ensure all cooking equipment is properly cleaned and maintained after use.

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices to ensure compliance in the kitchen. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
