We are seeking a passionate Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that our customers have came to expect in our Brunch Cafe. Your expertise in food preparation and culinary techniques will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including utensils and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
Help develop new recipes and menu items that align with our restaurant's vision.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
