We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team in Axminster. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards and delight our customers.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant/cafe setting. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
