This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our busy kitchen. We are looking for an experienced individual to cook and bake and to serve delicious breakfasts, scones, cakes, soups, light lunches and gourmet sandwiches within our busy cafe kitchen. High attention to detail will be of particular importance and a high standard of food presentation, food safety and hygiene is required.
Responsibilities include:
Managing day-to-day operations of the coffee shop and leading the kitchen in absence of the head cook.
Preparing, baking, cooking and serving food to an exceptionally high standard.
Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes. Ensuring continuity and a consistently high standard in everything you do and everything you serve with high attention to detail.
Cleaning and hygiene are essential, you will maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning and sanitising surfaces, general cleaning of the coffee shop area, equipment and furnishings.
Stock & Inventory Management, oversee stock levels, placing orders as necessary and ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs.
Handling and sorting deliveries and pricing products.
Ensure that the kitchen complies with all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and ensure all staff adhere to these standards.
