We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Cook/Baker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the meal preparation process, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, including proper handling of kitchen equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are met.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of dishes served.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed, sharing culinary techniques and best practices.
Experience
Knowledge or previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred, particularly within a restaurant setting.
Meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
A passion for cooking and baking with creativity in developing new dishes is highly valued.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
