We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and safety. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
The role will require annual leave cover over contracted hours to ensure our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to help others as needed.
A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals.
