Position: Cook
Reports to: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager
Summary:
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with recipes and standards. They ensure quality, presentation, and food safety while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and portion sizes.
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen stations and equipment.
Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Support kitchen team in daily preparation and cleaning duties.
Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role preferred.
Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong time management and attention to detail.
