We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of taste and presentation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of soups and hot dishes according to established recipes and menus.
Prepare and cook hot & cold buffet items for outside catering.
Cook chicken, bacon and prepare items for cafe and catering kitchen.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards of quality.
Experience with meal preparation techniques, including chopping, grilling, baking, and plating.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
