Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Oversee meal preparation and ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed to ensure high-quality food production.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance the dining experience.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation is highly desirable.
