We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our catering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in a high volume restaurant environment.
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your commitment to food safety and hygiene will be essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen.
This role will require working across both our main restaurant and onsite chip shop so frying experience and advantage but not essential.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Assist in the planning and development of new menu items.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, or any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook or similar role within a restaurant setting.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
