Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with experience in a kitchen environment. This role involves assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Serve meals to residents when required, ensuring an excellent dining experience. Work to HACCP standards Follow dietary instructions for service users as defined by their care plan Log notes on the electronic care system Ensure all food and ingredients are correctly labelled where appropriate Be able to confidently liaise with the 'Score on the Doors' team when required

Qualifications

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude towards learning and development.
