We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality meals to our guests. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience in our restaurant.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the planning and preparation of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen protocols.

Experience

Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures within a restaurant setting. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in the kitchen.

Pay: 12.21-15.79 per hour
