Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team in a carehome setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our residents.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient kitchen operations. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred/ carehome Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
