We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our small friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our customers and contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience in a culinary role or restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficiency in various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration and helping others.

We are looking for either a part time cook to work 5 days including a Saturday shift 9.30-2.30pm or a full time employee who is happy to cook and be involved in all parts of our creative business from customer service , events , arty areas and more. Shifts will include one Saturday a week
We are a small busy business in the heart of Eastbourne offering healthy food to eat in/ take out as well as some evening events in a fun creative cafe
