Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Cook / 2nd Chef to join our team in preparing delicious meals in our Care Home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and be dedicated to delivering high-quality dishes to our residents.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following recipes and presentation guidelines

- Assist in menu planning and developing new recipes

- Ensure food preparation meets food safety standards and regulations

- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory levels

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide excellent service to customers

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting

- Awareness and experience of IDDSI diets and their preparation

- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Understanding of food safety principles and regulations

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
