Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety standards, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by creating delicious meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, including daily specials and seasonal menus. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, feedback, and improvements.

Skills

Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar culinary setting. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A passion for culinary arts with creativity in food presentation and flavour combinations. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 11.45-13.00 per hour
