Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food safety and preparation, with a keen interest in creating delicious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our catering options maintain high standards of quality and service, when serving food in either our main centre for school groups after they have been out on adventures in Anglesey or in our bar (The Paddlers Return).

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service during busy periods. Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing offerings. Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in food preparation techniques, with an understanding of various cooking methods. Culinary skills that demonstrate creativity and attention to detail in meal presentation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy restaurant environment. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure. A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.

Pay: From 12.85 per hour
