Possible live-in. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook / Junior Chef to join our culinary team. As a Cook / Junior Chef, you will play a vital role in food preparation and cooking, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Support senior chefs in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Participate in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and checking stock levels. Assist with plating and serving dishes to ensure presentation meets restaurant standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours.

Requirements

Previous kitchen experience of circa 12 months+ ideal as quieter shifts may require solo cooking after trial period. Please do not apply without some experience. Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning from others. Experience in a restaurant or pub setting is an advantage but not mandatory. Willingness to take on various tasks as needed within the kitchen team.
