Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Serve dishes as required, ensuring customer satisfaction through attentive service.

Experience

Previous kitchen experience is essential with a focus on food preparation and cooking. experience in a care home setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices is required. Experience in serving customers will be considered an asset. A passion for cooking and homemade baking and a willingness to learn new techniques are crucial for success in this role.
