Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our catering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a keen interest in creating delicious dishes that delight our guests. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen and ensuring that every meal is prepared to perfection.

As a cook you would be working across our main restaurant and on park chip shop.

Location is remote so transport would be vital for candidates.

Accommodation is available for the right candidate. A double room in a shared 3 bedroom on park static caravan with utilities included.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen, adhering to all health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use. Support the training of new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and meal preparation processes. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
