We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the planning and execution of meal preparation, ensuring timely service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication during service. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and improvements. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues during busy periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 18 per week
