Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the planning of menus, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and improvements.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting
Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices is highly desirable.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and willingness to help others in the kitchen are essential qualities for success in this role.
