Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed in the kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient workflow.
Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management as needed.
Participate in menu planning and suggest new dishes based on seasonal ingredients or customer preferences.
Experience
Previous experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is essential.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is highly valued.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
