We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our small, hardworking team as a cook. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and cooking. They will need to be able to work in a small, busy team and be able to take direction as well as use own initiative.
A 3 month probation period with hourly rate increasing after the 3 months.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
Provide exceptional service during meal times, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
