Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Red Firs Care Home in Newark. This role is vital in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, contributing directly to their well-being and comfort.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of residents. Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, adhering to food safety standards. Plan menus that cater to the nutritional needs of our residents. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Collaborate with care staff to understand residents' dietary restrictions. Assist in meal service, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients. Participate in training sessions related to food safety and culinary skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or similar role, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards residents.
