Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Kitchen team as a Cook. We are friendly family run Pub and this role is ideal for someone with a background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The shift pattern will be

Week A Monday- Thursday 12pm until 8pm

Week B Friday - Sunday 12pm until 8pm

Two full weekends free a month!

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen operations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and presentation of meals. Participate in the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Support other team members in various kitchen tasks as needed, including serving when required. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking. Culinary experience is highly desirable, particularly within a restaurant setting. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required. Experience in meal preparation and serving will be considered an advantage. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes is essential.
