We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with a keen interest in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and feedback from guests.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and culinary terminology. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation. A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that delight customers. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
