Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to customers. Participate in menu planning and development, providing input based on culinary trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods and techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, showcasing the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during peak service times. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and serving staff.
