About Us:
Little Plums Nursery is a welcoming and nurturing childcare setting committed to providing high-quality care and education. We are currently seeking a temporary cook to cover staff leave, ensuring our children receive healthy, nutritious meals each day.
Role Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals for children, following the nursery's set menu. Cater for specific dietary requirements, including allergies and cultural preferences. Maintain high food hygiene and safety standards at all times. Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations. Manage stock levels and assist with food orders if required. Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role (nursery, school, or care setting preferred). Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable). Ability to work independently and manage kitchen duties efficiently. A friendly, positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
