Okehampton youth hostel is based on Dartmoor just 30 miles from Exeter. The centre has accommodation for up to 76 people and our kitchen caters for school groups on a set servery menu
A great opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to be responsible for the daily catering for groups. Who enjoys a busy working environment and delivering a positive experience to all our guests.
What we are looking for you to offer:
Prepare, cook, plate and serve fresh food taking responsibility for leading the preparation and delivery to agreed YHA standards.
Engage with guests to ensure all deity requirements are met.
- Support the hostel to achieve its KPI's and deliver an excellent customer experience.
All health and safety recording for the kitchen.
Comply with Food Hygiene standards and regulations as directed
Must be able to show:
Previous experience of working within the hospitality and a commercial kitchen running a dinner service
Able to thrives under pressure and is able to adapt to busy working demands.
Good self-motivation and organizational skills.
Works cooperatively with others and able to manage a small team.
Current working knowledge of health & safety/food hygiene procedures.
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
