Job Summary
We are a small independent cafe seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with at least 3 years experience in a kitchen environment.
Salary dependent on experience.
This role involves preparing meals, managing inventory levels, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in meal preparation Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential. Level 2 food hygiene for catering. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Confident enough to work solo in the kitchen, supported by front of house. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
