We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to assist in the running of our kitchen for our busy summer period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations and a genuine love for food preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our standards of excellence and delight our customers.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Skills
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food preparation.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
