As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
Help maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and reporting shortages or needed supplies.
Clean and organise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
